Hi, my name is John Berry and welcome to my podcast!

I have grown up in Oklahoma my entire life and that is where the name "Okie" came from. I also love smoking on my smokers and that is where "Smokin" came from.

I have been a backyard grilling enthusiast for years, decades even and it is truly one of my enjoyable past times.  From grilling meat and vegetables, smoking big cuts of meat, to simply placing a skillet over a wood fire.  Cooking outside is just so satisfying.

I now have more than 100 videos on my YouTube Channel and thought it would be a fun experience to create a weekly podcast as well!

I cook on a Pit Barrel Cooker, Weber Smokey Mountain, Pit Boss Onyx Lexington Smoker, Cast Iron Skillets and more!

I am Dolores and I am on Lazy Keto, well most of the time I am.  I say this because I have cheat days once in awhile especially when my husband cooks something amazing that isn't on the keto diet.
